In this article, we will show you the muscle mass workout routine and diet of the bodybuilder Chester Yorton. He is also known as Chet Yorton – the father of the Natural BodyBuilding and was born in 1939. In 1966 at the age of 27, he defeated Arnold Schwarzenegger at the 1966 NABBA Mr. Universe (amateur) held in London. He used this workout routine and diet to gain lean muscle mass. For only seven months Chester Yorton managed to gain more than 34 pounds (17 kg.) muscle mass completely natural.
As all bodybuilders at this time, Chet Yorton routine included training three times a week the whole body in one training. The difference in his workout routine is that he was training in the morning and then in the evening the same day, but with slightly reduced weights. Also, he had days with very heavy, medium and light weights.
Monday – Wednesday – Friday
This Chet Yorton workout routine is done in the morning and in the evening:
Full squat – 3 x 10-12
Hakem squat – 3 x 10-12
Bench press – 3 x 8-10
Deadlift – 3 x 8-10
Shoulder barbell press – 3 x 8-10
Barbell curls for biceps – 3 x 8-10
French press for triceps with barbell – 3 x 8-10
Barbell calf raises – 3 x 10-12
This training routine consists of only 8 basic exercises performed twice a day, three days a week. Nothing complicated and nothing fancy – just simple, effective and natural training routine. Chet Yorton recommended good food every day and good sleep every night.
The best power performance results of Chet Yorton`s workout routine and diet are squat 470 pounds (230 kg) and deadlift of 550 pounds (270 kg)
