Melon and Mint SmoothieOctober 15, 2016
Agree with me that there is no doubt that the combination of melon and cucumber sounds particularly surprising. Actually, cucumbers do not have a specific taste: they are not salty nor sweet. We are used to associating them with salad only.
Cucumber contains about 90% water, which makes it a very refreshing product, very suitable for summer heats and even more suitable for super refreshing smoothie recipes.
Melon also contains a lot of water, but unlike the cucumber has a pronounced flavor. The combination of these two products is particularly successful and particularly refreshing. The melon and cucumber smoothie recipe should be another perfect smoothie recipe to include in the list of your favorite smoothies. It is very tasty and very suitable for the summer months, when cucumbers, and the melons are flooding the markets.
Melon and Cucumber Smoothie Ingredients:
cucumber – 1/2 number
melon – 1 and 1/2 cup
mint – 6 leaves
honey – 1 tsp
How to make Melon and Mint Smoothie in two steps:
The recipe is very easy and should take no more than 5 minutes to prepare:
The First step:
is the preparation of the melon. Like in other smoothie recipes, it is best to first peel and freeze the melon for a few hours. This is very refreshing, especially during the summer months. Smoothies with frozen melon will be twice as refreshing.
The Second step:
Wash and peel the cucumber. If you use large cucumbers, half a cucumber will be sufficient, but if you use small cucumbers, then put the one whole. With a blender, chopper or a shaker mix the frozen melon with cucumber and mint and ½ cup water.
If you use a melon sort like “honeydew” do not add honey, but if you do smoothies with melons that are not so sweet add some honey. Blend for 1-2 minutes to obtain a homogeneous mixture.
Your Smoothie is ready!
